Our in-flight Essentials
Flights, long-haul flights in particular, are never going to be the most comfortable experience. However, there is plenty of essentials you can pack in your carry-on to make it a much more enjoyable experience. When we fly, we are forced to switch off from social media and work and spend our time doing something we wouldn’t usually spend 3 or 4 hours on. We have even seen women on social media doing their entire skincare routine on flights, face masks included, and we are loving it. You have plenty of time to kill on a flight so why not use it for self-care?
We are frequent flyers here at TASK and built up a list of in-flight essentials that we have to have in our carry-on on a travel day.
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Nourishing Lip Balm
The best lip balm if you get dry lips when flying and want to give your lips extra moisture. The Eight Hour Cream nourishing lip balm gives 8 hours of hydration so it is perfect for long-haul flights. An essential for any carry-on.
Loop Earplugs
Loop earplugs are a must-have to block out all of the noise that comes with being on a plane. They use innovative technology to reduce noise and allow you to focus or have some quiet time on your flight. They also look great which is a bonus!
Aerolite Cabin Bag
Let’s talk the actual carry-on bag. Tiffany swears by this cabin bag from Aerolite. If you want to be smart with space, this is the carry-on to bring. It fits on your case perfectly and fits so much more than a large handbag. Perfect for overpackers!
Garnier Hand Repair Intensive Restoring Hand Cream
Sinéad is a hand cream connoisseur and has tried all of the popular hand creams. One of her favourites is the Garnier Hand Repair. An affordable and effective hand cream is a a must-have for your carry-on.
In-Flight Phone Holder
This in-flight phone holder from Amazon is a favourite of the TASK Team for flying. It’s compatible with planes, your suitcase, and can be used as a phone stand. Download a few episodes of your favourite show on Netflix and enjoy!
Clinique Moisture Surge
Flights make our skin dry so a good moisturiser is a must for a long-haul flight. This antioxidant-infused water-gel from Clinique gives your skin an intense moisture boost, keeping your skin hydrated for the entire flight.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
A recommendation we first discovered from Kim Kardashian, the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask is a travel essential. This hydrating mask acts as a barrier to the air on the plane. Put it on, go for a sleep and wake up with radiant, protected skin.
Ugg Tasman
Uggs are the best shoes to wear for a long day of travelling. They are comfortable, on-trend and essentially slippers you can wear to the airport. Our favourite style at the moment is the Tasmans.
Make-up Bag
You need a good make-up bag to put all of these essentials in. We are loving this one from Oliver Bonas that you can customise with any letter.
