Recipe of the week. Winter Protein Porridge.

With Winter around the corner it’s time to start planning those dark early morning breakfasts. A bowl of porridge to start the day is a great way to get some slow releasing carbs in to aid concentration throughout the morning. The protein in our recipe here also helps to keep you feeling fuller & more satisfied.

Ingrediants

  • 40-50g Oats

  • 1 scoop of whey protein

  • 150ml milk

  • Half an apple

  • 3 chopped dates

  • 1 tsp peanut butter

Method

  • Add oats to saucepan, add 150ml milk and leave on a low heat until it starts to bubble.

  • Take pan off the heat and stir in protein powder, slowly. Add milk or water here if needed.

  • If you don’t want to use protein powder, you can add 2-3 egg whites or some yogurt to get that protein hit here instead.

  • Add back to heat and stir for another 1-2 mins max.

  • Top with apple, dates and nut butter
